The National Wellness Institute (NWI) defines wellness as, “an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.” As a member of NWI, we focus on their Six Dimensions of Wellness―emotional, occupational, physical, social, intellectual, and spiritual―to customize our programs. Working collaboratively with leadership personnel, we develop programs that engage employees to proactively maintain their holistic health, to promote enhanced community-wide relations, and to sustain positive morale. Better employee wellness enhances employee engagement and helps build mutually supportive organizations.
Group work provides a safe space to process emotions, connect with others, and learn how to give and receive useful feedback. Emotional Wellness is taught to identify feelings and express emotions in constructive ways. Other skills such as positive self-talk, goal setting, relaxation, and guided imagery are also introduced to help manage stress. Learning how to manage life in personally rewarding ways while taking responsibility for one’s actions is a main goal. Groups are limited to 5-8 individuals and meet weekly for 6-8 weeks, either online or in-person at our San Antonio location. Pre-screening is required for everyone.
